About Us

Q: How does your pharmacy work?

A: We've tried to keep it as simple as possible. Here's how it works:

  1. Contact us via phone or our contact form with the medications you are using.
  2. We will confirm prices and availability.
  3. Either come to our drugstore in Heredia, or request a delivery to anywhere in Costa Rica.

Q: Should I talk to my doctor before ordering?

A: Absolutely! Taking an active role in your health care can help you get the best care possible from your doctor. Any information about current and past health care issues or concerns will help your doctor during the appointment. It's important to share any information you can, such as:

  • Any symptoms you are having.
  • Personal information, including whether you are stressed or if your life is changing.
  • Any medicines you are currently taking, with details.
  • Any side effects you have from your medicines.
  • Any vitamins or supplements you take.

Don't be afraid to ask your doctor questions. It's important for you to let your doctor know if you don't understand something. If you don't ask questions, your doctor will think you understand everything he or she has told you. Make sure to follow any instructions your doctor gave you during the appointment.

    Q: Do I need a prescription?

A: Many products are sold over the counter in Costa Rica, such as skin creams and supplements. We highly recommend you seek medical advice before use, in order to prevent receiving a drug that is inappropriate for you to use and may sacrifice the opportunity for a correct diagnosis or the identification of an underlying medical condition for which use of the drug may be dangerous. There is no substitute for a face-to-face consultation with your doctor -- please check with your doctor before ordering from us.

    Q: Where are you located?

Our pharmacy is located in Heredia, Costa Rica, Central America. We source our medication from reputable wholesalers and manufacturers registered in Costa Rica. All our products are made by respectable pharmaceutical companies and are sold in original packaging.

Q: How can your prices be so much lower than drugstores in my country?

A: When medications are sold in developed countries, the manufacturers sell them for the highest price they can get away with. In other countries, the same medications are less expensive, because the people who live in those countries simply cannot afford the high prices.

Q: I purchased my usual medication and it was sold under a different name. Why?

A: Pharmaceutical companies will sometimes market the same product in different countries under a different name (for instance Ortho-Cyclen is sometimes marketed under the name Cilest). Sometimes the pills may even look a little different but the packaging will always confirm the manufacturer and authenticity of the product.

Q: Are the medications you sell the same quality as the ones I buy at home?

A: We only supply medications manufactured and marketed by leading international pharmaceutical companies so you can be assured of receiving the highest quality medications.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

The following methods of payment are available:

    • Cash (in both U.S. dollars and local Costa Rican colones)
    • Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
    • Western Union Money Transfers

Q: Will you accept my insurance?

A: At this time we do not have arrangements with health insurance companies or benefit management companies for medication coverage. We do however provide you with an invoice so you can make an insurance claim.
